Properties of Nocutil®
Active ingredient: desmopressin
Indication:
Nocutil® 0.1 mg/ml Nasal Spray:
Nocutil® Nasal Spray is used to treat central diabetes insipidus. This is a condition that causes increased urine production in the body and excessive thirst. This is caused by reduced production of a hormone that inhibits urine production.
Nocutil® Tablets 0.1 mg and Nocutil® Tablets 0.2 mg:
Nocutil® Tablets are used for the treatment of
- bedwetting in children from the age of 5 after ruling out organic causes and when other treatments have not been successful,
- central diabetes insipidus, a condition characterised by persistent and increased urine production in the body and excessive thirst due to reduced production of a specific hormone, and
- increased nocturnal urination in adults, where the amount of urine produced by the body at night exceeds the bladder capacity.
Nocutil® Melt 60 µg, Nocutil® Melt 120 µg and Nocutil® Melt 240 µg:
Nocutil® Melt sublingual tablets are used for the treatment of
- central diabetes insipidus, a pituitary disorder that causes severe thirst and increased urine production,
- bedwetting in children from the age of 5 with normal ability of urine concentration, and
- nocturia, i.e., repeated urination during the night in adults under 65 years of age.
Dosage, type and duration of use:
Nocutil® 0.1 mg/ml Nasal Spray:
The dosage and duration of use is determined by the consulting doctor. The medicine must always be used exactly as agreed with the doctor.
Before use, clean the nose thoroughly (e.g., by blowing). Then remove the protective cap, insert the spray opening into one nostril and administer one pump. If a higher dose is agreed with the doctor, spray alternately into the nostrils. Inhale gently through the nose while spraying. Finally, replace the protective cap on the bottle.
Nocutil® Tablets 0.1 mg and Nocutil® Tablets 0.2 mg:
The dosage and duration of use is determined by the consulting doctor. The medicine must always be used exactly as agreed with the doctor.
Nocutil® Melt 60 µg, Nocutil® Melt 120 µg and Nocutil® Melt 240 µg:
The dosage and duration of use is determined by the consulting doctor. The medicine must always be used exactly as agreed with the doctor.
The sublingual tablet is placed under the tongue, where it dissolves without water.
